Google Drive connector

Status: coming soon. This connector is on the roadmap and not yet available in the product. The flow below describes the planned design. Until it ships, ingest Drive files via file upload or the API.

Overview

The Drive connector will pull files from Google Drive into a feder8d collection using Drive’s REST API and Workspace OAuth scopes.

Setup

1. In the Tenant Console, go to Connectors → Drive → Connect.
2. Authorise the feder8d Drive integration with the minimum scopes required (read-only by default).
3. Pick the folders to sync (whole drives, shared drives, or specific folders).
4. Pick a target collection.

Permissions model

The connector respects Drive’s per-file permissions. A user can only retrieve from documents they have access to in Drive itself. We do not flatten permissions.
